About this scholarship
Created to support students and scholars facing disruption and displacement due to conflict or war in their home countries, Western has committed $600,000 in financial support through this program. It offers six scholarships annually, each valued at $25,000, continuing for up to four years for students who remain enrolled full-time.
What the award includes
- $25,000 per year, renewable for up to 4 years (total potential value of $100,000 per recipient)
- Six scholarships awarded each year
- Continues automatically each year the recipient remains registered full-time (minimum 3.5 courses) in an undergraduate program at Western's main campus
Who can apply
Must be a new international student applying for admission to an undergraduate program at Western's main campus (not satellite/affiliate campuses)
Must have received an offer of admission and intend to register as a full-time student
Must be in need of financial assistance
Must come from a home country that has been devastated by war and/or other disasters
To continue receiving the award in subsequent years, must remain registered full-time (minimum 3.5 courses) in an undergraduate program at Western's main campus
