Our Editorial Scope

We focus on scholarship announcements, funding opportunities, application guidance, and educational resources that serve our readers’ needs.

We select topics based on their relevance, practical value, and the availability of credible supporting information. We aim to explain who an opportunity is for, what it offers, and how to find the official application instructions.

Publishing an opportunity does not mean that HQScholary administers it, endorses every aspect of it, or guarantees an applicant’s success.

Sources and Verification

We prioritise original sources, including official university websites, scholarship providers, government agencies, and organisations responsible for the opportunities we cover. Other publications may help us discover a topic, but we seek confirmation from the responsible provider before presenting application details as established facts.

For opportunity listings, our checks focus on:

• The identity of the provider and the official programme name.
• Eligibility requirements and eligible study levels or destinations.
• Funding amounts, covered expenses, and stated exclusions.
• Application deadlines, the relevant application cycle, and any stated time zone.
• Required documents and the official application route.

If a key detail cannot be confirmed, we identify it as unclear or omit the claim. We do not invent missing requirements, deadlines, or award amounts. When sources conflict, we seek clarification and explain any unresolved uncertainty that could affect an application.

Clear and Responsible Writing

Our content should use plain language and distinguish confirmed information from general guidance, interpretation, or opinion. Headlines must reflect the substance of the article without exaggerating benefits or promising results.

We use descriptions such as “fully funded” only when supported by the provider’s information, and explain the scope of that funding where details are available. We do not describe competitive opportunities as guaranteed or imply that following our advice ensures admission, funding, or visa approval.

We link to official sources where available so readers can check the details and access the provider’s instructions directly.

Review and Attribution

Before publication, content is checked for factual support, clarity, relevant dates, working application links, and consistency between the headline and the article. The person responsible for publishing the content remains accountable for these checks.

Author or editorial attribution should accurately identify the contributor or publishing responsibility. We do not invent qualifications, expert reviews, first-hand experience, or institutional affiliations to make content appear more authoritative.

Updates and Corrections

Scholarship information can change after publication. We review content when we become aware of provider changes, reader reports, or other information suggesting that an update is needed. Time-sensitive application details take priority.

When an opportunity closes, we may mark the listing as closed, archive it, or retain it for reference with a clear indication of its application cycle. A previous year’s programme is not presented as currently open without confirmation from the provider.

A revised publication or update date should reflect a meaningful content change. It should not imply that every detail has been checked again unless that review has taken place.

We welcome reports of inaccurate information, outdated deadlines, broken links, unclear wording, and suspected fraudulent listings. When a concern is raised, we assess the evidence and check the relevant sources. Confirmed errors are corrected as promptly as reasonably possible, with priority given to errors that could affect an application or expose readers to harm.

For material corrections, such as an incorrect deadline, eligibility rule, or funding amount, we add a note explaining the change. We respect copyright and credit sources appropriately. Our articles should provide original explanations and useful context rather than reproduce another publisher’s work without permission. Direct quotations must be accurate, limited to what is needed, and attributed.

If AI tools are used for research assistance, outlining, drafting, or editing, a human remains responsible for the final content. AI-generated statements are not treated as evidence and must be checked against reliable sources before publication.

We do not publish invented citations, testimonials, scholarship opportunities, or personal experiences. We disclose substantial AI involvement where it would materially affect how readers understand or evaluate the content.

Respect, Privacy and Images

We aim to write respectfully about students, institutions, and communities. Eligibility restrictions are explained accurately without introducing stereotypes or discriminatory assumptions.

We avoid publishing unnecessary personal information and obtain appropriate permission for identifiable personal stories or testimonials. Illustrative or AI-generated images must not be presented in a way that falsely implies they document a real award recipient, institution, or event.

Reader Responsibility and Contact

Our editorial checks support useful reporting, but providers remain the authority on their own programmes. Readers should confirm current requirements and deadlines on the official website before submitting an application or making a financial commitment.
