About this scholarship
This scholarship is jointly funded by the University of Oxford and the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, a German philanthropic foundation whose guiding principles are "Promote education, share knowledge, venture future." The Foundation supports a wide range of educational opportunities for people at different stages of their lives, and this scholarship was established (alongside a six-year endowed Senior Lecturer post in Beginners' German) to widen access to German-language study at Oxford, ensuring students from all backgrounds can pursue the subject regardless of prior experience
