About this scholarship
The NTU Music Scholarship gives students the opportunity to develop their musical skills through one-to-one tuition, run by NTU Arts (the university's extra-curricular arts programme). Scholars are expected to actively participate in NTU's music ensembles as part of the award.
What the award includes
Free tuition in voice, piano, strings, brass, guitar, bass, percussion, or woodwind with an expert tutor
Awards vary in length — anywhere from a few months, to a full academic year, up to the full length of your course
Access to NTU's music ensembles and performance opportunities
Who can apply
- Must be a current NTU student, or have received/firmly accepted an offer to join an NTU undergraduate or postgraduate degree course
- Vocalists: Grade 6–7 standard; instrumentalists: Grade 7–8 standard (formal exam grades aren't required — your audition performance just needs to demonstrate this level)
- Successful candidates must commit to joining at least one NTU ensemble and to their music tuition
