About this scholarship
The International Undergraduate Student Scholarship was established to reward excellence in scholastic achievement by international students at the University of Manitoba. Unlike UM's entrance scholarships (aimed at incoming students), this award targets continuing international undergraduates who have already completed at least one year of study and are progressing into their next year.
What the award includes
No application required and no fixed dollar value is published — it's competitively ranked and funded until the budget or the GPA cutoff is reached
Recipients are notified by the end of July
Cannot generally be combined with entrance scholarships (this is a separate, later-stage award)
Who can apply
Must be an international student in Canada on a valid study permit
Must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours in any Faculty or School at the University of Manitoba
Must show exceptional academic achievement in the last regular academic session (minimum sessional GPA of 3.5)
Must be continuing into the next consecutive year of full-time undergraduate study in their program during the Fall/Winter academic session, enrolled in a minimum of 24 credit hours
