Walsh University invites academically qualified incoming freshmen (domestic and international) to compete in the Honors Competition for a chance to win a $24,000 scholarship or a full-tuition Presidential Scholarship.
About this scholarship
This is Walsh's top merit scholarship tier, awarded through a competitive on-campus Honors Competition process rather than through the standard academic merit scholarship students receive automatically upon admission. Winners forgo any previously-awarded institutional aid in favor of this larger award, and recipients who remain in the Walsh University Honors Program can also become eligible for related renewable honors-linked scholarships (e.g., the Founders' Scholarship) for all four years.
What the award includes
Full-tuition coverage for four years (or a $24,000 award for competition finalists who don't win the top tier)
Replaces any previously-awarded institutional scholarships/grants
Access to the Walsh University Honors Program community and its academic/enrichment opportunities
International students admitted separately may also stack on related awards such as the International Grant ($2,000/year) and Campus Service Award (up to $2,000/year for on-campus work), though the Presidential Scholarship itself supersedes other institutional merit aid
