About this scholarship
This scholarship is not applied for directly. Instead, the recipient of the Nora Cebotarev Memorial Scholarship (award code E8012) is automatically also awarded the Ellen Nilsen Memorial Graduate Scholarship. It is not a continuing/renewable award — the recipient receives the payment only in their first registered semester at Guelph.

One award valued at $1,500 CAD
Paid in the recipient's first registered semester (summer, fall, or winter, depending on their entry term)
Awarded automatically alongside the (separate) Nora Cebotarev Memorial Scholarship — no extra effort required to receive it if you win that award
Who can apply
Must be a full-time international student (non-Canadian citizen/permanent resident/protected person)
Must be female
Must be from a developing country
Must have demonstrated a commitment to social change
Must be entering a University of Guelph graduate program (master's or doctoral) in the upcoming academic year (summer, fall, or winter semester)
Eligibility is entirely tied to winning the Nora Cebotarev Memorial Scholarship — you cannot receive the Ellen Nilsen scholarship independently
