About this scholarship
One or more scholarships are awarded to outstanding graduate students in the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Selection of the recipient(s) is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies' Graduate Awards Committee. There is no student-facing application process — eligible academic units nominate qualifying students for consideration.
What the award includes
Award amount varies (not a fixed dollar figure) — determined based on available funds and the donor's terms
Who can apply
Must be a full-time graduate student (unless otherwise noted in the specific award description)
Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average, plus any additional donor-established criteria
Selected via nomination from an eligible academic unit — students cannot apply directly
To retain funding, students must maintain a minimum level of academic standing per UVic's ongoing graduate funding requirements
