The Crowley Family Scholarship is available to students from any college or major at the University of Notre Dame who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and a strong commitment to service.
About this scholarship
This is one of several named scholarships that make up Notre Dame's broader merit scholarship system (the Notre Dame Scholars Program), which recognizes admitted first-year students for exceptional accomplishment, leadership, commitment to service, and intellectual promise. Like Notre Dame's other merit awards, financial need is not a factor in selection, and it can be held alongside a student's separately determined need-based aid package. The award is open to students in any college or major at Notre Dame.
What the award includes
- A merit scholarship award (third-party sources list a range of roughly $25,000–$100,000 total, though exact per-year figures aren't published by Notre Dame directly)
- Renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing
- Awarded independent of, and in addition to, any financial aid the student separately qualifies for
Who can apply
Must be an admitted undergraduate student at the University of Notre Dame
Open to students in any college or major
Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and a strong commitment to community service
Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) and a counselor evaluation are not required as part of the scholarship consideration
As with Notre Dame's general merit scholarship policy, applicants are automatically considered through their regular admission application — there is no indication this scholarship requires current high-school-senior status specifically over general first-year admission
